How Does an Organization Get Started?
Simply meet with a Branch Manager at your local Provident Bank Retail Banking office.
- The Manager will help you fill out a short application
- Pass on the good news to your group's supporters. They will need to advise Provident Bank that they want to support your organization. This is as easy as a phone call to their branch or letting the branch know the next time they are in.

- Write about it in your newsletters
- Personalize the program to your organization
- Ask your local Provident Bank Branch Manager to speak at your next group meeting
Qualifying Accounts
Donations are based on annualized average balances.
Accounts opened for less than one year will be pro-rated accordingly. Accounts closed on or before December 31st are ineligible.
The organization must have a minimum of $100,000 in deposits tied to the organization for a donation to be made.
Different account types have different weights.
- Personal Checking Accounts pay .35%.
- Special Community Accounts pay .25%.
- Savings Accounts pay .25%.
- Money Market Accounts pay .25%.
- Time Deposits/Business Accounts pay .10%.
When Are Donations Paid Out?
Annual donations are made after the end of the calendar year based on account balances committed to your organization.
